Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises represent over 90% of total enterprises globally. India has approximately 6.3 crore enterprises in the MSME sector. The sector contributes about 29% towards the GDP through its national and international trade. MSME sector is a vehicle to employment and job creation and is the backbone of any economy.
By further enhancing the contribution of MSMEs in international trade through adequate technical assistance and capacity building, they can significantly boost their impact and contribution in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Bhartiya Global MSME assists MSMEs by fostering entrepreneurial skills, enabling financial and business literacy, building business support infrastructure, assisting with capacity building and improving access to finance, among others.
To promote and enable more global MSMEs, we focus on 3 key areas:
• Access to Information
• Access to Finance
• Access to Markets
In furtherance of our goal of fostering international cooperation, we have been working in tandem with national and international MSMEs, policy makers and other stakeholders to synergize the efforts made towards promoting MSMEs globally.
We conduct in-depth research and diagnosis to identify the issues and challenges faced by MSMEs and address them with corrective measures and training.
We work in close liaison with the government and other agencies concerned with the development of MSMEs to represent them and their demands to bring broader level policy amendments and measures benefitting MSMEs.
